Monday

•             CNY FDI - Foreign Direct Investment- China

The week will start with only one mid-tier economic data from China.  

FDI report presents the total investment capital made by foreign enterprises, economic organizations and individuals in accordance with Chinese relevant policies, laws and regulations, with cash, goods, technology start-up wholly foreign-owned enterprises in China, and Chinese domestic companies or economic entities, foreign joint ventures, cooperative enterprises or joint development of resources for investment and projects approved by the relevant governmental departments. A large foreign direct investment is indicative of overall growth and demand in the China economy.

 

Tuesday

•             Germany Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices & Euro Zone GDP

•             GBP Average Earnings including & Excluding Bonus UK

Tuesday will be busy with major economic data's coming from the Euro Zone and from UK as well.

In Germany Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices will be released which measure of prices used by Governing Council of EU to define and assess price stability in the euro area as a whole in quantitative terms.

The Gross Domestic Product released by the Eurostat is a measure of the total value of all goods and services produced by the Eurozone. The GDP is considered as a broad measure of the Eurozone economic activity and health.

From the UK Average Earnings Including Bonus and also Excluding Bonus is released. Average Earing Including Bonus released by the National Statistics is a key short-term indicator of how levels of pay are changing within the UK economy. Average Earning excluding Bonus is a key short-term indicator of how levels of pay are changing within the UK economy. It can be seen as a measure of growth in "basic pay".

 

Wednesday

•             GBP CPI report UK, Core CPI & Inflation Report

•             USD Retail Sales US ex Autos

The Consumer Price Index released by the National Statistics is a measure of price movements by the comparison between the retail prices of a representative shopping basket of goods and services. The purchase power of GBP is dragged down by inflation. The CPI is a key indicator to measure inflation and changes in purchasing trends.

The Treasury Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of HM Treasury, HM Revenue & Customs, and associated public bodies, including the Bank of England and the Financial Services Authority.

The Retail Sales ex Autos released by the US Census Bureau is a monthly data that shows all goods sold by retailers based on a sampling of retail stores of different types and sizes except the automobile sector. The retail sales index is often taken as an indicator of consumer confidence.

 

Thursday

•             AUD Unemployment Rates & Employment Change

Thursday will be the day for Australian Dollars. Three major reports from Australia will be out on Thursday.

The Unemployment Rate release by the Australian Bureau of Statistics is the number of unemployed workers divided by the total civilian labor force. If the rate hikes, indicates a lack of expansion within the Australian labor market.

The Employment Change released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics is a measure of the change in the number of employed people in Australia.

 

Friday

•             NZD Producer Price Index

•             AUD Philip Lowe RBA Governor & Assistant Governor Lucii Ellis Speech

On the week closing, no major data are released. Mid-Tier data coming from New Zeeland and Australia will be the only reports.

The Producer Price Index Input released by the Statistics New Zealand is a measurement of the rate of inflation experienced by producers. PPI Input captures changes in the average price of a fixed basket of goods and services purchased by the producers in New Zealand.
