Week Ahead | Brexit, Italy, Trade Talks and Policy Meeting Minutes in Focus

Monday

  • JPY Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda
  • USD FOMC Member Williams

Looking at the economic data calendar we can the first day of the week Monday will be a normal day when it comes to market moving data, markets still talk about the last week biggest story from Brexit top negotiator and UK’s MP Dominic Raab resignation. Yes, off course we can talk about some speeches coming up from Japan’s BOJ’s governor and FOMC member William speech.

 

Tuesday

  • AUD RBA Meeting's Minutes REPORT
  • JPY BoJ Monetary Policy Statement REPORT
  • USD Housing Starts (MoM) and Building Permits (MoM) 

Day starts with Reserve Bank of Australia meeting minutes report early morning for investors and traders dealing in Aussie dollar, after this Bank of Japan will be releasing its monetary policy minutes report and later in the evening US will be releasing its housing starts and building permits reports, since reports are from base currency so we can expect some volatility.

 

Wednesday

  • EUR European Commission. Non-monetary policy's ECB meeting
  • GBP Public Sector Net Borrowing 
  • USD Durable Goods Orders, Existing Home Sales (MoM) 

In compare with first two days of the week, Wednesday looks quite busier in terms of market moving data, the Day starts report from European commission on Italy budget and its debt after that ECB will be releasing its non-monetary policy report so Investors and traders dealing in Eur can expect some volatility, afternoon UK will be releasing its Public sector net borrowing report for the month of Oct. 2018 and again Days ends with base currency report from US like durable goods report along with existing home sales report based on these reports and data we can certainly expect volatility in major currencies.

 

Thursday

  • GBP Inflation Report Hearings REPORT
  • EUR ECB Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts REPORT
  • USD Initial Jobless Claims and Continuing Jobless Claims 

Again, Thursday will be the day for major currencies like GBP, EUR and USD. When we talk about major market moving data the day starts from UK’s Inflation report Hearings Report, afternoon ECB will be releasing its Monetary policy report and later in the evening US will be releasing its initials jobless claims report to bring movements in its rivals.

 

Friday

  • EUR Gross Domestic Product, Markit PMI Composite, Markit Manufacturing PMI, Markit Services PMI
  • CAD Retail Sales , CAD Consumer Price Index

Friday and last day of the global week looks busiest day of the week with definite market moving data, day will begin with Eurozone’s GDP, Markit PMI Composite, manufacturing and service PMI and later in the evening Canada will be releasing its Retails and CPI report to make the market volatile for investors and traders dealing in CAD.
